I am sure I will get killed for this, but I tried a challenge on Scrapbooking Australia and it was quite difficult for a novice like me. But I managed and am reasonably happy with the result, it did use up some of those odd photos you dont knwo what to do with.
Unfortunately on completion of a layout on the back of anthter page I realised that I had done it upside down. Whoops. So I had to redo my one of the dog (Snoop) The new layout I think is much better than the last one. So overall not a complete disaster.
I suppose I ought to be saying what I used in this blog. So I will have a go. Basic Grey butterfly paper, Stampin up real rust and vanilla card stock, stampin up sentiment, some random ribbon (I love) and some prima flowers and unknown crystals.
Well today I had a go at a layout competition, nothing ventured nothing gained. Mine are crap compared to some, but hey you gotta be in it to win it. Sort of wished I had mounted the photos on a background colour to make them stand out more, but I quite like the finished article. This is my start of my second week of scrapbooking since giving it up. Many reasons, the main one being that I did it through creative M***ories not sure if I am allowed to say, and I found their layouts to be quite formal and boring. Then I discovered card making through Linda Higgins a Stampin up co-ordinator. I bought stuff and it sat in the cupboard until a few months later when from some reason my inspiration hit. I made card after card after card.
I had quite a build up of cards so decided it was time to sell some. I decided on a very reasonable price of $2.50 a card(£1) to you UKers and I took $1 for my bits and pieces and the rest I decided to donate to MS Society being a sufferer of this horrible disease. I think I have managed to raise approx $200 through doing this. I still enjoy card making and Linda's classes still give me inspiration. But for some reason in the last couple of weeks I decided to dig out my scrap booking.
In the next day or 2 I will post some of my first anal ones for you to laugh at LOL.
Rebecca and Rachel have been friends since we moved into this house on July 3rd 06. In fact we don't even need to ask where Bec is or vice versa. Rachel goes to her dads every other weekend, and guess what, so does Bec, so she too has another dad every other weekend LOL. Its quite funny. If they spend a day away from each other its like a massive sulk and hissy fit. It's actully less painful to let them spend all their time together. Their grades where fabulous last year and the teachers now try to stick them in the same lessons cause the works so well together. Wait until I have scrapped the trip to Steve Erwin's zoo and the theme parks (of course Rachel came with us). I have a really funny one of Rachel, she will kill me. LOL. In fact I feel the inspiration to do it right now.
I had a go at a layout of me and Hub, I quite like it, but my photo skills are crap. Another thing to have to learn I suppose, LOL. Well here we go. Mind you I have warned him that there is room to remove LOVE and add Divorce if he doesnt watch his step......
