Well its time for another challenge, there seems to be no end to them....LOL. I stumbled across this challenge from someone elses blog. I don't know if you are like me and need a design to work with. So here is mine, Its quite basic but I quite like it. I bought a new set of stamps today from a little craft shop near me. Its from Kaiser and from a set called Flora and Fauna. There are a couple of birds and butterflies too which I love love love.
Another day another card, I seem to be on a roll at making cards at the moment. So here is my entry for the Inspirational Card Sketches for this week. You can find a link to this in my side bar. I seem to have taken a fancy to this circle stamp too LOL.
I decided I was not happy with my original log for pile it on so decided to combine the 2 Sketches 4 you challenge with the colour combo for my 2nd go. I much prefer this one. You can see my 1st attempt further down (if in the Pile it on tab.
Another day another challenge or 2. This first one was for the Play date cafe challenge whose link is on the right. I didn't manage to use any black mainly cause I have run out LOL. Have to admit that I am not overally happy with it although it is much better in the flesh this one and today has been a rather dull day for photographing.
My entry this week is using my good old butterflies again LOL, well I did manage to put him down for a whole week. I used Riding hood red, Kiwi Kiss cardstock from stampin up and some of their DS paper. I stamped with the 'Good friend' stamp set.
My entry for this weeks challenge, it is actually my 2nd attempt, I hated the first, I was trying to go outside of my box and it didnt work LOL. In my pile of rejects it goes. Anyway I used the 'Trendy Tree' stamp set and card/paper from stampin up. I crimped some cardstock and used some random lace I had, I added the trees because it looked a bit bare.
Having a go at the colour challenge this week. I dont think the ink is the correct colour but its the nearest pink I had. Used the party hearty set from stampin up and cardstock from them too. You can find the challenge link in my blog list under Makeesha.
My entry for the splitcoast stampers challenge this week. I am trying to increase my stock of xmas cards. I used ski slope DS paper from stampin up, real red and bayou blue card stock. The 'season of joy' stampin up stamp set.
I stumbled upon this sketch challenge and decided to have a go. You can find it http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/ if you fancy a go. I used last years 'season of joy' stamp set with real red and buckaroo blue inks. On real red and (I think) buckaroo blue paper.
As the weather has been appalling for this public holiday weekend (although we are glad of the rain), I have been very industrious in my card making. I think I have made about 7 or 8 which is really good for me LOL. I am not overally happy with them all but think its good to share different ones for all to see. They are all very 'laid' out if you know what I mean. Well enjoy (I hope).
I have been a little more motivated in the cardmaking dept this week, managed a few xmas cards and am really liking the 'Great friends' stamp set from stamin up. I pinched a layout from my good friend and stampin up demonstrator Linda Higgins (who I now consider a friend first). Plagiarism is cool LOL. Anyway here are my efforts for you to look at. I have used the ski slope designer papers in these cards and the Tree Trimmings stamp set too.
