This will probably be my last card of the year as I have had to pack it all away in prep for Xmas. I was playing with my watercolour paper and decided to do a swirly pattern. I love the colours together. I kept the card quite plain.

Play Date Cafe

I was determined to keep to just the 2 colours this time. I actually made it last night but had to wait to try to get a nice photo of it. We have had such shocking rain its like living in a sauna and its so dismal outside. Of course I should be happy that I dont live in the UK any more lol so will try not to winge about the rain to much. I used the Joy stamp from the 'Welcome Christmas' set from stampin up and the snowflake is from one of my very first sets 'little bits' also from stampin up. I kinda wish I hadnt bothered with the ribbon but hey ho its there.

Play Date Cafe

I must say I do look forward to the Play Date colour challenges each week. This week I looked and though no way can I do that. but after a bit of thought I managed this card. I embossed the swirls with silver embossing powder on grey card and mounted it on cherry cobbler just cause I think it need that splash of colour. The base is Kraft. I stamped the image with chocolate chip ink and added a silver ribbon.

Play Date Cafe

Decided a boy card was the order of the day. It didnt exactly turn out the way I pictured it in my head but I am reasonably happy with the result. I used my stamp set from Taylored Expression for this one. I love the rock and roll. I stamped the background in a burgundy colour before stamping the rock boy in bright blue. I added some pink crystals and a pink star. I mounted the main window on pale blue.

You can find the link to the challenge HERE.

Taylored Expression with the Curtain Call Challenge

Wow I did find the colours a bit of a challenge today. I didnt have any tangerine tango so I went with some old DS paper in a peachy colour (cameo coral I think). I used the Embrace Life stamp set from stampin up. It is so far from what I would put together but I actually really like the result.

You can find both challenges

Sweet Sat Sketch

Ok I have not posted in aggggges. My mojo deserted me and I really have been exhausted working full time holiday cover. It really doesn't suit me with my MS but hopefully I will be dropping from 4 days to 3 days soon. Leaving more time for craft lol.

I really had to force myself to make some cards in the hope my mojo would reappear. I am satisfied with my few efforts over the last few days and have managed a few cards these 2 I made with males in mind, the one on the left is the one I am using for this challenge.

this is my entry for Sweet Stop this week which you can enter HERE

Mercy Challenge and Play Date Cafe

I dug out my old trendy trees stamp set from stampin up. I tried to get as close to the colours as I could, I actully started out with differet papers and different card stock but decided I didnt like them together.

If you want to have a go at the Mercy Sketch the link is HERE
For the Play Date Cafe colour combo challenge the link is HERE

I love both these challenges and try to do them each week.

Mojolicious time

I actually made this one earlier in the week but havent had time to blog it. I am doing it quick at 6.40am before off to work. I used my new DS papers from stampin up, I thought I would keep it very simple and only stamped a sentiment and swirl. I like the way you dont need to stamp heaps to make a nice card, the DS papers around do a lot of the work for you. I made the scallops but using my oval scallop and attaching them to cardstock. Three scallops fit perfectly. Anyway you too can have a go at the challenge, Click HERE

by the way can anyone tell me how to put photos along side one another. Sometimes I use 2 challenges and like to put their pics up to but they always go one under another.
