Sweet Stop Challenge 48

I had to make a card for my cousins 40th wedding anniversary and decided to use the Sweet Stop Challenge for my design. I used some 'fuzzy felt' flowers as the token fuzzy bit.

Play Date Cafe/Taylored Expression

I have been having some problems sleeping lately and have found myself most mornings up at 4.30am which is bloody frustrating. Yesterday morning I decided that I would make a card and even though I couldnt get it together was determined to do one come hell or high water. So I used the Taylored expression card layout with the Play Date Cafe recipe. I am satisfied with my early morning result but the photo didnt come out as well as I would have liked.

The papers and stamps are from stampin up.

Play Date Cafe

This entry is for the The Play Date Cafe colour combo (plus fantastic blog candy giveaway). I am loving using some vintage style images. This one I stumbled upon on line and saved it down, then I toyed with the colours to give it a slight purple look to go with this weeks colurs. I did find it slightly difficult to work with purple colours but I am rather pleased with this card. Its so far awy from my normal. Hope you like it too.

I am also going to enter this one in the Sweet Stop Sketch challenge as I used this sketch to model my card on.

Both sites are on the right in my challenge list, come play along too.

2 Sketches 4 You

I really struggled with the finishing off of this card and I am still not happy, I tried a bow in brown and blue, I tried a sentiment but neither worked for me. I gave up in the end and decided to leave it quite plain. I may add something another time especially if I need it. I have sentiment phobia today LOL.

My entry for this week challenge uses stampin up DP and card stock, a friend kindly cut out the leaves with her cutty our machine LOL. I did no stamping what so ever on this card and its a little bit out of the norm for me but I like it. I just wish that I had put some card behind the orange DPs,not happy with the 'without' look. Toyed around with using a sentiment and decided against it.

OCCC 6th March

Another challenge today, this time for the Our creative corner blog. I am liking the blue with the orange, a bit out of my normal colour combos but I think it works.

My entry this week for the Taylored Expression challenge. I am also going to enter it into the DCM challenge although there might not be enought aquamarine to satisfy the theme.

A Layout

Its been soooo long since I have done any scrapbooking I cant even remember. I was looking for something in my draws and came across this film strip I had done last year for a sketch and never got around to finishing. When I saw this challenge on Tamara's website a couple of days after I dragged it out and decided to finish what I had started. Sorry the photo is a bit blurred. Photography is not my strong point.

2 Sketches 4 You

This week its kazan's challenge. I have to say I am not overly happy with this one. It just doesnt rock my boat. But then you cant be happy all the time and you should take the good with the bad.

My flow seems to be back at the moment, although I am having some issues with my MS that is leaving me weak and stiff. Hopefully after a few days rest I will be feeling much better and what is more therapeutic than doing some craft. Back to my entry I have used all stampin up stuff on this one.

Just a quickie to say that I have accidently posted this one in the 2 sketches 4 you blog by mistake, what a dumbo I am. Have posted correct one, but this one is still there too.

Sweet Sunday Sketch/CPS sketch

For my entry for this week I have used the stampin up I{Heart} Hearts stamp set, using real red ink, along with real red card, whisper white and some other black card. Someone at work is getting married so I decided to make a card for that and made it in a large square so as we can all sign it. I am going to add some extra to it, maybe some letters. I have about a month to decide. This design also works well with the CPS challenge so a good 2 for 1.

My entry for this weeks challenge is a bit brighter than I normally do and I tend to shy away for stipes, but today I wanted to use some different colours.

The Card stock is stampin up and the paper is kaiser from the Empire collection. The stamped sentiment is from stampin up warm words.

Sweet Stop Challenge

I did this challenge early in the week and then realised I used last weeks layout. didnt matter though as it gave me a good excuse to do another. I have used the praire lane papers AGAIN, I just love the colours I cant put them down. the stamped butterfly is from stampin up 'great friends' set which is also one of my favourites.
