Sweet Stop Sketch

I liked this layout a lot and decided to do 2, well it wasnt on purpose but just worked out that way. For the first card I used the hippo from the 'Pun Fun' and the balloon from the 'Party this Way' set both from stampin up. For the second card I used the 'pocket silhoutte' and the butterfly from the 'Cottage Garden' stamp sets again both from stampin up.

Mojo 187

Here is my entry for the Mojo challenge this week. I saw my good friend Linda Higgins use the cupcake cutter and the cupcake stamp set to make a hot air balloon. I havent got either of these sets but I do have a left over piece of card that we used with the cutter, I used the hole and used my daubers to make the basket. I am really liking this idea lol.

Sweet Stop Sketch

I have made yet another male card using the 'sentimental journey' stamp set from stampin up along with the matching DS papers from the summer mini (now finished). I am really loving this set for male cards. The twist to the sketch this week was to use something with wings. I considered birds and butterflies but thought I would break out of the box and use the plane.

Colour Q 80

The colours were a little challenging to say the least and I wanted to be bold in my choices. I used the kiwi kiss for the main card and the first background which I mounted on cherry cobbler card. I stamped the butterflies using a base of crumb cake and edged it in the tangerine (could be orange) the paper under is some old tangerine DS paper and Tangerine card stock. finally I made the bodies of the butterflies from cobble too.

Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge

I have liked the Sweet Sunday Sketch on facebook and that means I see the sketch early. Well not for me really as it is Sunday here but usually I dont get to see it til much later on Sunday. I have got ahead of myself on this one. I used the 'Sentimental Journey' set from stampin up t make this card along with the sentiment from the 'vintage label' set. I really like these colours together and the DS paper really works well for the male cards. I cant add the sketch image as it wont let me save it from facebook, I will have to wait and remember to add it later.

Verve Sketch Challenge

This is my first go at one these sketches although I have looked at them for a while. I dont have any verve stamps, maybe I will need to do something about that. I dont know the name of this stamp set as I stamped it at my friend Linda Higgins house, it is in the new autumn mini though. I decided to make a dreaded male card and am happy with the result.

Colour Q

Our laptop died this week so I am having to crank up the desktop one which is def past its use by date. New lappy is ordered so should be here soon thank goodness. I have used the 'sweet summer' and the punched posies' sets to make the focal point flowers and the sentiment is from the 'vintage labels' all from stampin up.

SS149

I had a go at the Sketch Saturday challenge this week. I am loving the 'punch bunch' set from stampin up, especially the small flower. I used markers again to get the 2 tone look and then I cut the flowers out. I really struggled to get a decent photo today as its so overcast.

I {heart} 2 Stamp and a colour challenge

Another 2 in one challenge. I should do this sketch challenge more often, I have really had my crafting mojo back this week and have made heaps of cards. I discovered the colour challenge on my trolling of others blogs and although I never planned to use these colours I pulled out the kiwi kiss paper and some very old DS papers from my scraps that I am determined to use up (yeah right) and the colours just fell together. Unfortunately to late to enter on their blog but I will mention it anyway. I used my 'punch bunch' stamps from stampin up along with a sentiment from the 'trendy tree' set. To do the 2 tone on the flower I stamped on my pink ink pad and then coloured the outer petal with a marker. I love markers, great invention.

My Fav Things and Card and things challenges

Both of these challenges are firsts for me. I discovered both these whilst looking at other peoples blogs. I decided to have a go.

The for My Fav Things is over at splitcoast stampers and although I don't have any of their images/stamps it isn't compulsory so i decided to have a go. I used the recipe challenge from the cards and things blog, which I think is a very new challenge site. Love the colours together. Anyway here is my creation.

You can have a go at both challenges, My Fav Things can be found HERE and the Cards and things challenge is HERE

Colour Throw Down

I love love love these colours, any excuse for me lol. I did struggle with the yellow so just cheated and put a small bit of ribbon and some yellow crystals. I used a sketch from 'Cards and things' blog which I stumbled across (although the sketch is closed now) I liked the sketch, you can find their blog HERE. The stamp set is from stampin up 'Elements of Style'. I am really liking this set.
