Colour Throwdown

My entry for the colour throwdown this week. I decided to use the gorgeous stamp set 'elements of style' for this one. I coloured the flowers with Pink Pirouette and razzleberry inks using my aqua painters. I ran it through my big shot using the Top Note cutter which I then cut around and mounted on a piece of so saffron card stock which I also cut with the top note. I stamped the image again on the main card as I thought it lacked something. I attached the bow with glue dots then was not sure if I liked it there, but to late lol, cant get it off, them glue dots sure do stick. I scalloped a piece of razzleberry co-ordinating papers to make a trim a the top.

Exciting News

I have now become a stampin up demonstrator. Yes after 4 years of using the products I have decided to take the plunge and become a demonstrator myself, about time too. I cant think why I didn't do it sooner. I think it was because I have done other 'party plans' and they were to much hassle etc etc, but I enjoy going to the stamp parties, we make a couple of cards, have a good chin wag, its more like a social event than a 'sell party'. I am not even that bothered if I do much in sales. I can get my stuff cheaper and have some fun along the way, how easy is that. I shall continue to blog my creations for challenges on this site as thats what I love to do, but I have a new stampin up blog (sort of empty at the mo) which I will use for that side of things. If you are visiting and interested in having a party etc please feel free to go to the link to my stampin up blog on the top left of this blog and follow the prompts there. Otherwise continue to enjoy my creations as much as I enjoyed making them.

Taylored Expression

It seems a while since I have done one of these challenges, not sure why. But at first I struggled to think what I could do and the card from Rachel Sztonyk on the blog made me decide to use the cup cake from the 'Party Hearty' set from stampin up (another one I am babysitting for the week lol). I also used some old DS papers from last year (could be year before) which I like but struggle to find appropriate use for. I think I might make some more of this design it works really well.

Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge

Over at the Sweet Stop blog was to use the sketch and for an added optional twist was to stamp your background paper. I love this new set from Stampin up 'french foliage' its makes lovely background paper. I then decided to keep the focal point quite small so as not to cover up the background. I cut out one of the leaves to make the accent circle. Its a very simple card but I really like the autumn colours (it is Autumn here after all).

You can have a go at the challenge HERE.

Just add Ink

Well there is no stamping whatsover on this card this week. I have used my markers to do mock stitching around the card and the stars. I enjoyed doing this one. I think I will have a go at another using this sketch later on.

CR84FN and

I love the colour combos on this blog but find them difficult to do, I just cant seem to put the colours together in the right way and end up frustrated with my self, I have found that linking them with a sketch helps and the one over at split coast (my fav things) was perfect for it.. I actually like the way this one turned out although I did have to have a touch of green on the leaves (hope thats ok).

Sweet Stop Challenge

I used 2 stamp sets today, I first used Saharah Sand to stamp a light image using the 'style beautiful' set and then stamped over the top with the sentiment using the 'well scripted' set both from stampin up. This card has very little stampin today. I used riding hood red card stock and some old DS papers from last year and finished it off with some felt flowers and half pearls.

3 for 1 today

Well this is the first time I have done a 3 for one in a
challenge. My first one was from Splitcoast stampers colour combo challenge to use cherry cobbler, crumb cake and black. The second one was a picture inspired image over at 'The Cats Pjs' which had a coffee feel about it so hence the coffee cup and finally the third challenge which was the sketch over at Cardpatterns.

Challenge one the colour combo can be found HERE
Challenge for the the TCP challenge can be found HERE
And finally the sketch at Cardpatterns HERE

I have no idea how I managed to change the layout of my posts to this, so if someone can shed light on it so I can get the text underneath and not at the side pls help lol.

Baby Cards take one.

I have been asked to make a couple of baby cards for some friends and I looked for some inspiration from splitcoast stampers. I decided to do one using this card I found in the gallery. I then decided it was to bright and made it a birthday card instead. I then made another one in pastel colours for a grandson (due next month).
