I absolutely loved the case card from Kryssi Ng over at the Case Study Challenge and I immediately knew which stamp I wanted to use. I sponged a piece of glossy white and used a circle to mask off the moon. I decided I didn't want to add any snowflakes because it didn't scream Christmas at me, more subtle. I have to say I am really pleased with this card and my hubby loved it. I added the little lemony crystals for the pop of yellow although it doesn't show to good in this photo. It also fits in superbly with the Less is More Challenge which was for Silhouettes so I am going to submit it to that challenge too.
For this card I used the following
Card - Basic Black, Glossy white
Ink - Marina mist, Buckaroo Blue and Not quite navy
Stamp - Forever Young, sentiment from an old hostess set
I ended up making another card using the sketch over at the Get Sketchy Site on Stampin UP. I am not really a 'distressed' type of person on my cards, I like clean lines lol. Anyway I decided it needed to be distressed a bit and a very happy with the result.
I have struggled big time with my 'mojo' (pardon the pun) this week but I did manage to get some sort of card out for this challenge *sigh* not particularly happy with it so I may have another shot. Who knows, maybe its because the sketch is quite simple so made it harder (does that make sense). Anyway here you go.
I am not usually able to do the 'splash' colour challenges over at the Play Date Cafe but I really wanted to challenge myself this week and was determined to make a card. I probably had a bit more than a splash though. I used the sketch over at the Sketchbook Saturday Challenge as I have really enjoy these ones. The photo is poor as had to do inside, will try to post better image tomorrow.
For this card I used the following products from stampin up
I struggled with the sketch for Freshly Made Sketches this week, this is the 2nd card I made as I didnt like my first one lol. But I am happy with this one although I cant seem to get the photo to look good.
For this card I used the following products from Stampin UP
Card - Blushing Bride, Soft Suede
Ink - Soft Suede
Stamp - Creative Elements
DS Papers are from the incolour stack from last season Hostess gift
I used the recipe from Just add Ink (I had to substitute Certain Celery with Pear Pizazz) and coupled it with the sketch over at the Card Patterns Challenge Site. My daughter's birthday is coming up this month so I decided to do a card with her in mind.
For this card I used the following products from Stampin Up
Card - Pear Pizazz,Whisper White, Pool Party
DS Paper - Cheerful Treat (hostess) and some old DS papers
Stamp - Create a cupcake, Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess)
I cant seem to put the stripe embossing folder down at the moment, any excuse to use it and out it comes lol. I have a cousin who is due to have a baby boy sometime this month so thought the layout at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge was great to use as a base for the card.
For this card I used the following products from STampin UP
Card - Basheful Blue, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, So Saffron
Although I had tried to do this sketch earlier in the week, nothing I seemed to do worked or I liked, well tonight after work It kinda fell together and I wasn't even trying for the colours but I realised I was using the Inkspiration Recipe AGAIN (well I did use 2 slight off colours). Unfortunately I am to late for the Mojo submission but I didn't care I hate it when sketches beat me.
So for this card I used the following
Card - Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo and Concorde Crush
