Mercy Challenge and Play Date Cafe

I dug out my old trendy trees stamp set from stampin up. I tried to get as close to the colours as I could, I actully started out with differet papers and different card stock but decided I didnt like them together.

If you want to have a go at the Mercy Sketch the link is HERE
For the Play Date Cafe colour combo challenge the link is HERE

I love both these challenges and try to do them each week.

Mojolicious time

I actually made this one earlier in the week but havent had time to blog it. I am doing it quick at 6.40am before off to work. I used my new DS papers from stampin up, I thought I would keep it very simple and only stamped a sentiment and swirl. I like the way you dont need to stamp heaps to make a nice card, the DS papers around do a lot of the work for you. I made the scallops but using my oval scallop and attaching them to cardstock. Three scallops fit perfectly. Anyway you too can have a go at the challenge, Click HERE

by the way can anyone tell me how to put photos along side one another. Sometimes I use 2 challenges and like to put their pics up to but they always go one under another.

Colour Q combo and Taylored Expression Sketch

I used the colour Q colour combo with the Taylored Expresion sketch for inspiration. I used the owl which is one of the new punches from stampin up, I havent got one but made this one at a friends house and its been sat on my crafting table just waiting for an opportunity to shine. He is so sweet. The blue background DS paper is an old one from last year and I was actually going to use the reverse which has owls all over but as I turned it over to put on tape I though mmmmm like this better. So there you go. If you want to have a go at these challenges you can find the Colour Q challenge HERE and the talyorled expression sketch HERE

Mojo 159 and Play Date Cafe

I love the mojo sketch each week and I love it even more with the Play date cafe combo. This week the colour combo was a bit tricky for me, I was not sure what melon colour meant, to me it looked kinda over ripe peachy colour veering t wards redish. So I settled on this colour which I think is a happy compromise with a milder green, I didnt use the white but my ribbon is vanilla. Love the mojo sketch this week, very easy to use and works very very well. I am actually happy with the result but I think its one of those you either love or hate.

If you fancy your chances at the MOJO challenge this week, it's competition week with fab prizes, you can find the link HERE go on give it a whirl.

If you want to have a go at the colour combo at PLAY DATE CAFE you can find their challenge HERE.

Colour Q

My first ever entry for this challenge and love the colour combos and sketch. I used some new DS papers I have from stampin up (any excuse to get them out), my 'Great friends' butterfly stamp, I did use comparable colours as I dont have exactly that named card stock. If you want to have a go you can find the link to the challenge Here.

Taylored Expression with the Curtain Call colour scheme

I have used the stampin up Artistic Artistry set for this card, and I think it works really well with the colour combo. I didnt have any sahara sand card so I substituted it with some grey, although I think sahara would have been better. I am not sure but the colour behind 'amour' could be soft suede but I stamped this at a freinds house (hopefully this will surfice). I also used the 'season of joy' set to put the swirl behind the tower I think this makes it pop like fireworks. I am reasonably happy with the outcome. The cardstock is real red and basic black from stampin up and the red is embossed (also done at a friends), A few kaser embilishments to finish off.
