My Favourite things and The Shabby Tea Room

I am not usually a shabby chic sort of person, although I do love the look, just find it hard to do myself.  But i  had a go at the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room which was to use Cherries in our design and I used the Sketch at My Favorite Things for my layout.

For this card I used the following products from stampin up

Card - Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Ink - Sahara Sand, Cherry Cobbler, early espresso, Crumb Cake and Old Olive
Stamps - Tart and Tangy, Artistic Etchings, French Foliage
DS Papers - Beau Chateau

I am so happy with the way this card came out, I ordered this new stamp set and it came today and hey presto as I was trawling through my challenge list the one over at the My Fav Things on splitcoast stampers had a perfect layout for the clock. Of course then there was the challenge of deciding which colours to use and I really wanted to have a go with the new papers too.

So for this card I used the following products from stampin up

Card - Island Indigo, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and River Rock
Ink - Island Indigo
Stamp - Forever Young

My Fav Things and Card and things challenges

Both of these challenges are firsts for me. I discovered both these whilst looking at other peoples blogs. I decided to have a go.

The for My Fav Things is over at splitcoast stampers and although I don't have any of their images/stamps it isn't compulsory so i decided to have a go. I used the recipe challenge from the cards and things blog, which I think is a very new challenge site. Love the colours together. Anyway here is my creation.

You can have a go at both challenges, My Fav Things can be found HERE and the Cards and things challenge is HERE

Thanks for looking.
