Split Coast Sketch Challenge

Well I have to say the sketch over at the Splitcoast Stampers had me a little lost. I reached from some of the new Hostess Papers and decided to go BRIGHT this is so no me lol but I thought come on Jo you can use bright. I am actually quite pleased with the result even if it is quite simple.

For this card I used the following products from Stampin Up

Card - Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla, Melon Mambo

Ink - Soft Suede, Concorde Crush, Melon Mambo, Lucky Limeade

Stamps - Creative Elements.

Punches - Scallop circle, 2 x circles

I stamped the background and used my blender pens to do some colour accents.

Sketch Challenge 356

Haven't had a go at the Sketch challenge over a the splitcoast stampers site for a few weeks so but I loved the design. It did take me a while to decide what to do but I just had to use this piece of embossed/inked check that I made. I discovered this technique by accident (sorry dont remember where) a few weeks ago but never had the embossing folder. Any ways I basically designed the card around the check lol and I am more than happy with the result.

For this card I used the following products from Stampin Up

Card - Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla

Ink - Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Choc Chip

Punches - Square, Scallop Square

Stamp - Sentiment from Contempo Christmas and a tree from a very old set (unknown)

Split Coast Sketch Challenge

I havent done this sketch challenge for a goodly while. So last night I decided to have a go. I wanted to keep it fresh and am loving the yellow at the moment. I dusted off my medallion which I havent used much at all as I have struggled with uses for it. and last night I had this idea of using it and decided to run with it. If I made it again there are a few tweaks I would change. The one thats bothering me the most is the upper right writing, its slightly lopsided and I struggle with things like this. I am trying hard to not notice it lol.

Ok my ingredients are from stampin up and are as follows

Card stock - Daffodil delight and Whisper white

Stamps - Medallion, French Foliage, artistic etchings

Inks - Daffodil delight, black, sahara sand, basic grey

Extras - Piece of DS paper stack, basic grey ribbon, button, crystals

My entry for the splitcoast stampers challenge this week. I am trying to increase my stock of xmas cards. I used ski slope DS paper from stampin up, real red and bayou blue card stock. The 'season of joy' stampin up stamp set.

Here is my entry for the splitcoast stampers this week. I used last years xmas paper dashing, with the season of joy stamp set all by stampin up. I crimped the grean band across the bottom.

As the weather has been appalling for this public holiday weekend (although we are glad of the rain), I have been very industrious in my card making. I think I have made about 7 or 8 which is really good for me LOL. I am not overally happy with them all but think its good to share different ones for all to see. They are all very 'laid' out if you know what I mean. Well enjoy (I hope).
